G Adventures is a small-group adventure travel company founded in 1990 by Bruce Poon Tip OC. Now operating in over 100 countries, the company offers a wide range of trips -- from cultural and wildlife-focused expeditions to active adventures and local living experiences. Their model emphasizes intimate group sizes, local guides and immersive itineraries designed to connect travelers with authentic experiences in the communities they visit.
Sustainability is at the heart of G Adventures’ ethos, guided by their G for Good company-wide commitment that travel can be a force for good. Understanding that responsible tourism practices should benefit local people and protect the environment, the company’s efforts to protect and conserve our world fall under two approaches: Acting Responsibly and Creating Positive Impact.
Through Acting Responsibly, G Adventures promotes low-impact travel, prioritizes animal and child welfare and respects the rights, history and culture of Indigenous people. The company is working to halve its carbon footprint by 2030 and eliminate single-use plastics on its tours while implementing its overall Climate-Biodiversity Plan.
In Creating Positive Impact, G Adventures enables travelers to leave a positive impact on the places visited. In collaboration with their non-profit partner, Planeterra, the company supports social enterprises that create income-generating opportunities for communities while preserving cultural heritage. The G Adventures Ripple Score shows travelers how much of their money spent in destination goes towards using local services on the tour.
By enabling travelers to support local economies and leave destinations better than they found them, G Adventures is empowering their guests to become advocates for sustainable travel long after the trip ends.
