Spotlight: BLK + GRN

Meet BLK + GRN… marketplace of green personal care and home products by Black women entrepreneurs and the “#SeeingGreen Solutionist of the Day” for February 6.

BLK + GRN is an incubator for Black women entrepreneurs and a marketplace of all-natural personal care products from hair, to skin, to home created by Black women. Founded by Dr. Kristian Henderson, the platform serves as a one-stop shop for beauty, wellness and lifestyle goods that are free from harmful chemicals and designed with both health and environmental consciousness in mind. The curated marketplace not only champions and empowers Black-owned businesses but also fosters a holistic approach to wellness, connecting conscious consumers with brands that align with their values.

Sustainability is at the core of BLK + GRN, with a strong emphasis on plant-based, biodegradable and low-waste products. Many of the brands featured on the platform prioritize sustainable sourcing and eco-friendly packaging.

A few highlights:
- The Green Laundress: plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products
- KAIKE: plant-based skincare with formulas focusing on natural, food-grade ingredients
- Gently Soap: botanical body care, including plant-based soaps
- Halcyon Grace: hand-poured luxury candles using natural ingredients
- Taupe Coat: non-toxic nail polishes in vibrant colors
